Founded in 1979 by Bill & Gail Friesema, Katie has been traveling the globe as Avantpop Inc. since 2008 and as herself since way before then. A professional dabbler by trade, she is known to tour with bands, setup internet for music festivals, lug around big cameras, wheel-throw pottery and sometimes throw people too. Usually not at the same time.
